Amiga Already another BBS has joined the ranks of the Amiga future with us. Yogi's Corner Cafe BBS launched in 1991 as Yogi's Corner, and renamed in 1994 to Y.C. Cafe. It was shortly after shutdown in 1996, but now has reopened in November 2004! Running CNet 3.05 on a new Amiga One. We also welcome him to the Port Zero joinlink network.

Already another BBS has joined the ranks of the Amiga future with us. Yogi's Corner Cafe BBS launched in 1991 as Yogi's Corner, and renamed in 1994 to Y.C. Cafe. "No absolutely not." said Yogi when I asked him if back in 1996 he would have ever thought he would run a BBS again. Yogi added, “If it wasn't for the Amiga One... I would have never reopened it. I personally think the Amiga One is going to bring back a lot from the past. Mostly the stuff that was fun to do on the Amiga.”

Yogi’s BBS began in Chicago around 1991 with an A500 running Elite BBS Software, which was a one line BBS software package running with 1 megabyte of RAM and an extra disk drive. In 1992 with memory and hard drive expansion card using a 20-megabyte hard drive he started running CNet 3. In 1993 he got an A2000 and in late 1993-1994 picked up 4 lines for the BBS. After a new A3000 system was purchased in 1994 he added 3 more lines for a total of 7. Although in 1996 he called it quits.

Yogi decided to reopen the board after the release of the new Amiga One with it’s OS 4 developer release. Fully telnet with no dial up lines it’s still just as much fun. Yogi is looking forward to chatting with all the new and past users. Although, all the data from the original board has been lost you are encouraged to upload anything you want. Post messages on any number of topics, or hang around a while and start up a chat with someone when they login.
